What is specified
Size, background, how recent, and what may or may not be worn. The specification is stated by the office rather than by the shop that prints them, and we confirm the current one with you.
A photograph that was accepted somewhere else is not evidence that it will be accepted here.
Why the shop is not the authority
Print shops work from what they were told the last time somebody complained. That is usually right and occasionally out of date, and you find out which at the counter.
What we do about it
We look at what you have before the day. If it will not do, it is dealt with here rather than by sending you into town to find a shop that knows the current specification.
